Running (Outdoor) is an exercise for the quadriceps. Main target: quadriceps. Also works: hamstrings, calves and gluteus maximus. No equipment needed — just your bodyweight.
How to do it
- Start with a few minutes of brisk walking or easy jogging to warm up.
- Run at a pace you can sustain: torso tall, shoulders relaxed, landing under your hips with a quick cadence.
- Breathe rhythmically and keep an even effort over the planned distance or time.
- Finish with an easy jog or walk to cool down.
