Machine-Assisted Triceps Dip is a compound exercise for the triceps. Main target: triceps. Also works: lower chest and anterior deltoid. Equipment: machine.
Muscles worked
How to do it
- Set the counterweight on the assisted dip machine and kneel on the pad, gripping the dip handles with your arms locked out.
- Keeping your torso upright to keep the load on the triceps, bend your elbows and lower yourself until your upper arms are about parallel to the floor.
- Press back up to full elbow extension without locking out abruptly.
- Repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions; less counterweight makes the exercise harder.
